The developers of this app have over 25 years of experience providing case management, psychotherapy, professional development, coaching, training, and consulting for individuals and organizations across the world. Our mission is to make culturally responsive and evidenced based information, tools, and strategies readily available to help families instantly connect with the resources, supports, and services. Utilizing an integrated approach we bring together health and wellness resources in one place.
Mission and Purpose
It is the mission of Align and Embrace to develop a network of culturally informed helping professionals from multiple disciplines that support wellness for children and families. We take a holistic approach to meet all aspects of family health and wellness. Our purpose is to provide families’ easy access and linkage to wellness services at no cost so they can locate, select and connect based on their unique needs.
We are each other's keeper and we want to provide the same level of support to you and your family. We recognize that families need support and help as they strive to be the best they can be.
Recognizing that resources can often be difficult for families to find we designed a tool that provides easy access and linkage to wellness services at the tip of their finger. The Align and Embrace mobile application is a one-stop resource shop. App resources include free educational information, verified wellness helping professionals listings, videos, parenting tips, and quick links to name a few. A robust multidisciplinary network can be found in the application where users locate, select and connect to helping professionals based on their wellness needs. This resource takes holistic approach to meeting every aspect of family health and wellness needs.
RaQuel Neal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has counseled, trained, coached, and consulted for government, non-profit organizations, public and private academic institutions, and in the private homes of hundreds of families.
She earned a Masters degree in Social Work from California State University, East Bay with an emphasis in Child Welfare-Social Justice. She is also certified as a Training Specialist from the University of California, Davis, and currently contracts with the Bay Area Regional Training Academy/University of California, Fresno to provide training, coaching, and development to new Social Workers on best practices working with children and families in the field of Child Welfare.
RaQuel also gifts her time to the CASA Therapy Project of Contra Costa County wherein she offers free counseling services to youth who are currently in the foster care system.
RaQuel is the founder of Align & Thrive, LLC dba Que Alignment Consulting and creator of the Align & Embrace App whose mission it is to make culturally responsive services, tools, and strategies readily available to help children and families align with the resources needed to overcome obstacles and thrive in their daily lives. She has dedicated over 19 years providing powerful and practical strategies to help people successfully transform their relationships, work, and life.

Cara Alexander holds a PhD in International Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She earned a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where she majored in Social Welfare Administration and minored Interpersonal Practice. She has a Bachelor degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Additionally, she completed a Global Clinical Scholars Research Training postdoc program with an emphasis in epidemiology at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Alexander is dually licensed is an independent Clinical Social Worker in Georgia and Maryland. She is a Board-Certified Diplomate (BCD) in Clinical Social Work. She has over twenty-five years of experience in the field of behavioral health, HIV/AIDS, co-occurring disorders, and executive management. Her practice foundation is ingrained with extensive micro and macro practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in all types of integrated settings (including but not limited to-private and public hospitals, federal/military treatment facilities, community health, substance abuse treatment, home health, school settings, juvenile court systems). She was an adjunct lecturer in the School of Social Work Virtual Academic Center at University of Southern California for over eight years. Where she taught Advanced Theories and Clinical interventions for Children and Adolescents, Advanced Theories and Clinical Interventions for Children and Families and Integrated Care Models.
Dr. Alexander has developed unique niche in the international context. She is an International Subject Matter Expert specializing international psychology. She possesses comprehensive knowledge of social and psychological factors that underpin stigma and discrimination regarding HIV domestically and globally. She managed projects that spanned across more than eight countries (South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, India, Ukraine, Caribbean regions and China). Her expertise has been utilized to provide technical assistance on implementation of direct service and systems strengthening activities for addressing the behavioral health drivers in HIV prevention, treatment and care.
Dr. Alexander has extensive experience in starting and expanding businesses designed to help others. She successfully grew a business from a solo practice to an outpatient behavioral health clinic employing a staff of 50 in less than 2 years. She currently owns Embrace Life, LLC where she provides psychotherapy, coaching and consulting services.
